Gloria De Piero visited Holly Hill Primary School in Selston last week to talk to pupils about what it is like to be a Member of Parliament.
She spoke and took questions from around 60 year 4s and 5s who have been studying a topic called ‘If I ruled the world…’
Gloria talked about a day in the life of an MP, what the role involves, what it is like working in the Houses of Parliament. She then took questions from the children including “What are the worst things about your job?” and “What qualifications do you need to be an MP?”
Gloria said “It was great to come in and speak to the children. Their questions were very mature and thought provoking. They had certainly done their homework. ”
